Irrespective of caste, creed or religion a Old Age home was started for aged people on 10.03.1975 by Late Shri.T.K.Jayaraman, father of J. Viswanathan. After the demise of his father on 22.08.1989, his son J.Viswanathan took charge as the Secretary. At present 25 old age persons are taken care of in a best manner.

Dr. J. Viswanathan did serve for the welfare of women right from the beginning itself. 01.04.1972 onwards a day care centre for old aged persons was started by his efforts and functioning in a very good manner without any grant-in-aid from the Government. Unable to notice the sufferings of the old age persons of his native village, due to poverty and ailment, he maintained the home in a splendid manner, despite hectic financial hardships. He had an opinion that it was insufficient to feed them merely one time a day and hence he altered the home as a full time old age home from 01.04.1997 and at present around 25 old age persons are benefitted with free food, clothing, shelter and medicines until the rest of their living life and are looked after with great care and affection.
